Welcome, Fr. David!

Fr. David writes “I’m a native Texan, a cradle Episcopalian, and a long-suffering Houston sports fan. I grew up in Sugar Land, played baseball in college, and attended Virginia Theological Seminary. Next, I served in campus and parish ministry in Ohio for nearly six years. For the past twelve years I have been blessed to serve as the rector of Christ the King Episcopal Church, in Atascocita. I am currently a second-year student in a five-year doctor of ministry program at Virginia Theological Seminary. In my free time I enjoy playing disc golf (sometimes called frisbee golf), watching football, writing, and spending time with my family.

My lovely wife, Beth Anne, is also an Episcopal priest and serves as the interim campus missioner at Rice University. We have two wonderful daughters, Grace and Faith .

St. Andrew’s is a joyful, loving, and inclusive church with a big heart for outreach. From the moment that I first read your parish profile I knew that our spiritual gifts were a great match. I ask for your prayers for my family as we prepare to make many transitions, including a new church, new schools for the girls, and a new home in Pearland.”
